Capt. Spyros, Founder of Interoutes, is a seasoned maritime professional whose journey reflects deep dedication and hands on experience across all layers of the shipping industry.

Born and raised on the small Ionian island of Kalamos, a place with nautical history, he developed early the discipline and resilience that would define his career. Although he initially studied Electronics, he ultimately pursued a career at sea. Starting from the ground up, he steadily advanced and earned his qualification as Captain.

Following his seagoing career, he moved ashore in 1980, taking on operational roles within leading Greek shipping companies before continuing his career with a time-chartering firm in Switzerland, gaining valuable international and commercial experience.

Upon returning to Greece, he founded his first company, which operated successfully for nearly a decade, providing surveys for P&I clubs, bunkers, draft and cargo damages surveys, along with performance evaluation.

In 2001, Capt. Spyros founded Interoutes, initially focusing solely on vessel performance monitoring. Without prior programming knowledge, he developed a comprehensive evaluation system, grounded on High Court decisions and Αrbitration awards, to ensure objective and legally sound performance assessments. Over time, the company expanded its services to include weather forecasting and routing advisory, establishing a comprehensive approach to operational efficiency.

Interoutes was founded with a distinct objective: to deliver impartial, reliable, and data-driven services to the maritime industry, rooted in real-world experience and technical precision. Today, Interoutes remains committed to the core values that shaped its beginnings, Integrity, Precision, and trusted Maritime knowledge.
